11th May 2009 Hi everybody! We're pleased to announce that you can now pre-register for BJC 2009. Like last year, you can pay by credit card, or use our shopping cart to make a form you can print out and send us with a cheque. Click here for our shopping cart, or use the Tickets link on the left. The team are busy organising a top notch BJC. Killamonjambo, a local ska band, will be kicking things off by getting everybody up and dancing to start the party. Then as well as the expected evening events and public show, we have booked the hilarious and talented duo Pol and Freddy for a special extra Sunday spectacular. We're all massively excited and looking forward to seeing you in August! Team BJC 2009. 19th March 2009 We are proud to announce that a venue has been confirmed for BJC 2009. It will take place at the Hewett School in Norwich, starting on Wednesday 19th August and finishing Sunday 23rd The School boasts 3 gyms, 3 halls, a swimming pool, loads of workshop space, ample parking and one of the largest open green spaces in Norwich. Camping will be on-site and hard standing is available. We are currently putting together workshop and show timetables, and will be announcing confirmed tutors and acts in the near future. All the previously planned events will be taking place - we'll let you know as details are confirmed. There will be two performances of the Public Show happening on the Saturday at OPEN24/7, a brand new venue in the city centre which is just 5 minutes away from our Juggling Games venue, The Forum. Pre-registration is being arranged and will be available soon. We apologise to all those people (including many on the team) who had already made arrangements for our original dates; however we hope that you will be able to come along to the first summer BJC and are already looking forward to to warmer camping, BBQs, shorts and sandals, and summer evening mayhem. Please bear with us as we re-write the website :-) The British Juggling Convention is a yearly gathering of all kinds of circus performers, from hobbyists to professional performers, from jugglers to balloon modellers and unicyclists. Some people come hoping to learn new skills or polish old ones. Many people come to chill out in a juggly atmosphere, drink beer and enjoy the various shows and entertainment. It's up to you! |
